Sundance Film Festival Vicarious Cocktailing

Missed rubbing elbows with the celebrities at Sundance Film Festival in Park Slope, UT? Wish you could’ve cut down black diamonds with the latest indie film “it” actor? Us too. In situations like this, we do what Thirsty Girls do best, cocktail vicariously.

The cast of Save the Date celebrated the premiere of their movie at the Sundance Film Festival by enjoying a five-course meal prepared by Top Chef Season 3 winner, Chef Hung Huynh at the exclusive ChefDance dinner series.

The executive chef of Catch in New York City served sea scallops with cauliflower and tamarind brown butter paired with a “Summer in the Snow” cocktail.

“Summer in the Snow” – Created by Snake Oil Mixology

Ingredients:

1 1/2 ounces of Bulleit Bourbon

3/4 ounce of Fresh Pressed Lime Juice

3/4 ounce of Cashew Orgeat

1/4 ounce of grilled Pineapple Puree

2 dashes of Cherry Bitters

Nutmeg

Preparation:

1. In a mixing glass with ice, combine Bulleit Bourbon, Fresh Lime Juice, Cashew Orgeat, Grilled Pineapple Puree and Cherry Bitters.

2. Shake vigorously and strain into a rocks glass with ice.

3. Garnish with grated nutmeg and and a long piece of pineapple.
